Based on the essential Ki principle “Mind moves Body,” we learn how to maximize the ability that people naturally have, and how to respect and lead others. The benefits of this practice are not limited to the dojo. This training develops the capacity for connection, focus, and relaxation in daily life.
We'd be delighted to meet you. We welcome visitors to our classes, and would be glad to answer your questions about our practice. Please come observe or try a class!
Our Roots
We belong to the Eastern Ki Federation, led by Chief Instructor Rich Fryling Sensei and supported by Senior Advisor David Shaner Sensei.
We follow the teachings shared by Shinichi Tohei Sensei, the head of Shinshin Toitsudo Aikido in Japan. We maintain a living connection to our teachers in Japan, and train with them as often as possible. We strive to align our teaching with the most current methods, and transmit these principles and this tradition with fidelity.
